En agosto de este año, participaré por invitación en la IX Bienal Internacional de Grabado de Douro, Portugal, junto a otros artistas costarricenses. La pieza que he enviado forma parte de la serie titulada Capital Migrations, 2012. En este conjunto, las imágenes son creadas extrayendo elementos de diferentes monedas impresas y recombinándolos digitalmente. El colibrí es extraído de un billete de 20000 colones costarricenses, que ahora vuela a través de un paisaje tomado del yuan chino.

In August 2018, I will be participating by invitation in the 9th International Printmaking Biennial in Douro, Portugal. The piece I have sent is part of the series titled Capital Migrations, 2012. In this set images are created by extracting elements form different printed currencies and digitally recombining them. Here is the humming bird extracted from a Costa Rican Colón bank note flying through a landscape taken form the Chinese Yuan.
